Project: Sales Team Peformance Tracking and Reporting Application
Business Need: Develop web-based performance tracking application for the sales team.
Solution: The application was well received by the user community. Training sessions were conducted with the sales force. Over a period of several months, application began to process thousands of transactions per month and served hundreds of web-based reports to many different types of users.

Project: P&C Policy Administration System
Business Need: Develop web-based policy and claim administration system.
Solution: Application was delivered according to specifications and allowed to manage new and existing lines of business easily.

Project: TPA Administration System
Business Need: Develop web-based Third Party Administrator (TPA) administration system. The system needed to be sophisticated and needed to keep track the policies, reserves, administration fees, commissions, claims and cancellations.
Solution: The new administration was delivered on time and user trainging provided. New system allows to manage and administer complex insurance products and save a lot of time to the end users who had to rely on the Excel documents for data tracking and premium calculations.

MANUFACTURING
Project: Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
Business Need: Develop financial reporting solution for a large multi-national manufacturing company.
Solution: As the data warehouse grew and the number of reports began to get into hundreds, the data warehouse with all the web reports began to play an "executive dashboard" role for executive staff, middle and upper management. The reporting platform is utilized by practically every department: executives, sales force, production and QA management. Having such system has ensured that there was "single version of the truth". The project was a great success and had a high adoption rate within the user and stakeholder community.

Project: Web-based Work Order Processing Application
Business Need: Develop web-based intranet application as a front end to the existing AS400 application. The new web-based fron end would provide better experience and help gain efficiencies through addition of warranty rules processing engine.
Solution: New application has allowed to improve the speed of work order processing by about 60%. Users no longer had to deal with "green screen" and did not have to determine the applicable warranty manually. Application automatically classified the units and at the end of the process transferred a completed work order to AS400.

ONLINE MEDIA
Project: Media Processing Applications and Tools
Business Need: Media processing audio-visual applications and tools.
Solution: Client’s existing applications and set of tools needed to expand by adding number of functionalities, significant improvement in quality, performance and user experience. Sermik team performed full analysis and number of exhausting tests before deciding on the most applicable development approach to achieve desired results. Delivered solutions included as an integral part of the clients’ online media applications. Sermik team used low level programming language to achieve the best performance in working with various audio files formats, creating high quality graphic images and very efficient manipulation of the various portions of audio files. Improved user experience was one of the key requirements for this project and it was achieved by thorough analysis, diligent attention to details and research work.

WARRANTY MANAGEMENT
Project: Vehicle Service Contract / Warranty Management System
Business Need: Develop web-based Vehicle Service Contract / Warranty management system. Key functions of the system should include: on-line rate calculation, on-line contract submission, on-line claim processing, on-line cancellation quote calculation. System should also expose these functions through a set of XML web services for consumption by third-party applications from partners and vendors.
Solution: The new application with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) not only allowed to better manage exising business, it also allowed the company to link with other applications. The standardized XML web services could be utilized by any type of applications. Having such ability has allowed the company to improve the market penetration and gain new channels for distribution.

AUTOMOBILE
Project: DMS (Dealer Management System) Integration
Business Need: Integrate DMS data into application in order to decrease manual data entry and improve efficiency. Integration with DMS system allows for the data to be keyed in once. The need for manual input into other transactional and reporting applications is minimized.
Solution: Ulitizing third-party components and modules data extraction process was established. Data from multiple DMS vendors was staged into a standardized repository, which then got integrated with a multitude of other transactional and reporting applications. This resulted in additional value-added service for existing clients and provided additional reporting and data mining options.

Project: VIN Decoding Module
Business Need: Client needed ability to take a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) send it to a VIN decoding module and it in turn would come back with the details about the vehicle, such as Year, Make, Model, Series and vehicle options. Having automated VIN decoding service saves a lot of time, since none of the data about the vehicle need to be entered manually.
Solution: Utilizing the standard VIN formula decoding methods together with third party repository of a VIN data, a module was developed that provided VIN decoding capability, which could be incorporated in any type of the application.
